Why an annual plan

Stay up to date with one agreement

Resuscitation Council UK expects clinical staff in general practice and dental practice to update their resuscitation skills at least once a year, and CQC asks practices to keep evidence of it. The GDC recommends at least two hours of medical emergencies CPD every year. Care Certificate Standard 12 asks for practical basic life support training that meets RCUK guidelines. One annual plan covers this with one agreement, one invoice and one training record.

Frequently asked questions

What does an annual plan include?

One price a year covers 1, 2 or 3 training visits at your site for up to 12, 18 or 24 staff, all certificates, travel within Greater Manchester, a training record after each visit, and free places at our Levenshulme centre for staff who join between visits.

Can you deliver ILS or eILS at our practice?

Our visits include Basic Life Support and AED and our own Clinical Emergencies Update for clinicians, based on current Resuscitation Council UK guidelines. Clinicians who need a full RCUK ILS, eILS or ePILS certificate book a place at our centre with the plan discount.

Does this help with CQC and GDC requirements?

Resuscitation Council UK expects clinical staff in general practice and dental practice to update at least once a year, and CQC asks practices to keep evidence. After each visit we send a training record with attendees and certificate expiry dates. Your practice remains responsible for deciding what each role needs.

What happens when new staff join between visits?

They use your plan's free places on our public Basic Life Support and AED or Allergy and Anaphylaxis Awareness courses at our Levenshulme centre. Essential includes 2 places a year, Plus 4 and Complete 6.

How do we pay?

We invoice the annual fee at the start of the plan year, payable within 30 days. Plus and Complete plans can be paid in two instalments.

What if we need to move a visit?

You can move a confirmed visit free of charge with at least 14 days' notice. The full terms are in our Annual Training Agreement, which we send with your proposal.
