Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training in Manchester
Oliver McGowan training in Manchester, delivered by PLAB Guide as an NHS England Approved Provider. The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is the government's preferred and recommended training for health and social care staff. It is named after Oliver McGowan, whose death highlighted the need for staff to better understand autistic people and people with a learning disability.
The programme is co-delivered by trainers with lived experience and is set out in tiers. Tier 1 is for staff who need a general awareness of the support people may need. Tier 2 is for staff who may provide care and support. Both tiers begin with the same e-learning package.
Find our Oliver McGowan courses below with dates and booking, or email training@plabguide.co.uk to discuss training for your team.
