Resuscitation faculty
Our resuscitation faculty teach Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) courses at our Manchester centre, including Immediate Life Support (ILS), Paediatric Immediate Life Support (PILS), European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) and the ILS Instructor course.
Jamie Broadbent
Course Director, ALS and EPALS; GIC Educator

Jamie is a Resuscitation Council UK ALS and EPALS Course Director and GIC Educator. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators and a Fellow of Advance HE, with a background in curriculum design, faculty development and education across acute and emergency care.
Simon Scott
Senior Resuscitation Instructor
HCPC-registered Operating Department Practitioner
Simon has over 25 years of clinical experience in anaesthetics, including adult and paediatric cardiac theatres, intensive care and emergency response. A former Senior Resuscitation Officer, he has taught on ALS, ILS, EPALS and PILS courses since qualifying as an instructor in January 2017.
Haroon Jameel
ALS Course Director and Instructor

Haroon is a doctor by background, an RCUK Advanced Life Support Course Director and Instructor, and an EPALS Instructor. He leads ALS course delivery and faculty coordination, and teaches across our adult and paediatric resuscitation courses.
Rashad Raza
Resuscitation Instructor: ILS, PILS and EPALS

Rashad is a doctor by background and an RCUK Instructor for ILS, PILS and EPALS. He teaches at our Manchester centre and on site for organisations, with a particular focus on supporting international medical graduates new to UK resuscitation standards.

First aid faculty
Our first aid team deliver and quality-assure Qualsafe Awards regulated qualifications, including Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and First Aid at Work (FAW), at our centre and on site at client premises.

Qualsafe Awards approved instructor
Shahid delivers our Qualsafe first aid qualifications, including EFAW and FAW, at our Manchester centre and on site. He also samples assessment decisions as an Internal Quality Assurer.

Simon samples assessment decisions and trainer practice to make sure our regulated first aid courses meet Qualsafe Awards requirements.

Dr Kamara leads our appraisal service, supporting doctors through annual appraisal and preparation for revalidation, and oversees appraiser practice and quality across the team.

Are your resuscitation instructors RCUK accredited?
Yes. Our resuscitation faculty hold Resuscitation Council UK instructor or course director status and teach at our RCUK Approved Centre in Levenshulme, Manchester.
Who quality-assures your first aid courses?
Our Internal Quality Assurers sample assessment decisions and trainer practice so that our Qualsafe Awards qualifications meet the awarding body's requirements.
Can your faculty train our staff on site?
Yes. Our instructors deliver group courses at our centre or at your workplace. See our group and on-site training page for details.
